Blood drive

| July 2, 2009 9:00 PM

Bonners Ferry Community and the Inland Northwest Blood Center are hosting a community blood drive from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 8th at Boundary Community Hospital.

The INBC need150-200 donors each day to meet the needs of more than 35 hospitals in our region.

“For many of us, the critical need doesn’t really hit home until it’s one of our friends and family members laying there in that hospital bed needing blood,” said INBC Public Relations/Market Specialist Monique Dugaw.  “When someone takes an hour out of their day to give blood, they can save up to three lives with their simple donation.  It’s a gift from the heart that truly touches the hearts of others.”

Last year Bonners Ferry made a huge difference for hundreds of families in need.  INBC collected 451 units of blood–saving up to 1,353 lives.  Support is needed to meet our goal of 100  donors or more at this blood drive.
