Idaho’s nutrition program Women, Infants and Children has changed its income guidelines.
At no cost to qualified families, WIC provides milk, eggs, cheese, cereal, juice, beans and peanut butter.
A family of three can earn up to $33,874 and qualify for the program; under the old guidelines a family of three could have earned up to $32,560.
The average Idaho family enrolled in WIC receives about $55 of healthy foods per month.
To qualify, families with:
Five person who makes less than $1,670 a month.
Six people who makes less than $2,247 a month.
Seven people who makes less than $2,823 a month.
Eight people who makes less than $3,400 a month.
