Dorothy L Bachteler

Dorothy L Bachteler, 78, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at Boundary Community Hospital in Bonners Ferry due to complications from a massive stroke.

A gathering for family and friends will be held 3 to 6 p.m. Friday, July 10, at the home of Dave Heigel in Paradise Valley.

Dorothy was born June 9, 1931, in Springfield, Mo., to William and Lillie Lawson.

She had the love for her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dorothy enjoyed vegetable and flower gardens, canning, crocheting, berry picking, picnics and fishing with her family.

Dorothy was preceeded in death by two husbands, two sons and one granddaughter.

She is survived by sons Jerry Heigel of Naples, Jake Heigel of Highland Flats, Dave Heigel and his family of Paradise Valley, and Neal Heigel and his family of Athol; daughters Linda Fletcher and her family of Naples and Evelyn Ringer; and many friends and extended family.

She will be greatly missed by all.
