Bud and Rae Brazier

Bonners Ferry residents for 80 years Bud and Rae Brazier recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.

The Braziers lived in Bonners Ferry until moving to Spokane, Wash., 15 years ago.

The couple married on July 20, 1944 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Bonners Ferry.

Rae Brazier was born and raised in Bonners Ferry and her husband was born in Brainard, Minn. 

The couple met while she was working at Wickstrom's Drug Store in downtown Bonners Ferry.   

Bud Brazier worked for his father in his auto garage. 

The couple’s daughters are Candee Freeman of Spokane and Julie Cook, who lives in Coeur d'Alene with her husband Gary.

Grandchildren are Chris, Waco and Debbie Freeman; Leslie Shelton; Lisa Coo;k and Lori Hill. Great- grandchildren are Samantha, Natalie, Zoe and Charlie Shelton; C.J. and Mikki Erickson; and Katie and Delane Sheppard.

 The Braziers family considers the couple the most wonderful parents and grandparents ever, and are revered as true friends and a blessing to anyone who has ever known them.

The family and friends are grateful for the incredible examples the couple has set and all the memories.  They want the Braziers to know they are loved and send their congratulations.
