Keith L. Blockhan, 48, passed way from injuries sustained in a car accident north of Bonners Ferry on Sunday, June 14, 2009.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, June 20, at St Ann's Catholic Church.

Keith Lewis Blockhan was born Sept. 2, 1960, in Colorado Springs, Colo., to Barbara and Kenneth Blockhan Sr.

He was raised there with his one older brother, Kenneth Blockhan Jr., and younger brothers Don and Joel Blockhan.

Keith attended Ute Pass Elementary in Chipita Park, Colo., Sacred Heart Catholic School in Colorado Springs and Manitou High School in Manitou Springs, Colo.

After graduation, Keith moved to Arizona with his older brother Ken. It was here that he met his first wife, Debra Stephens.

Keith and Debra had a daughter, Kristine Renee, in December 1980. They resided in Bonners Ferry until their divorce in 1982.

Keith worked at Carquest on the South Hill and lived in the area raising his daughter.

In the summer of 1988, Keith re-married Laurie Miles and resided with her in Sandpoint. Keith and Laurie had a son, Ryan Curtis, in January 1989 and a daughter, Kayla Marie, in April 1990.

Keith moved to the Seattle area with his brothers in the mid 90s. He resided there until the winter of 2004, when he moved back to Bonners.

Keith enjoyed playing pool, fishing, working on automotive projects and hanging out with friends.

He is survived by his father in Bonners Ferry; brothers Kenneth E. Blockhan Jr., Don (Nicole) Blockhan and Joel (Susie) Blockhan, all from the Seattle area; daughters Kristine (Luis) R. Santana of Riverside, Calif., and Kayla M. Blockhan of Coeur d’Alene; granddaughter Neiomi R. Santana; many nieces and nephews, and loving companion Candace.

Keith was preceded in death by his mother, wife Laurie (Miles) Blockhan and son Ryan Curtis Blockhan.
