Sharon Stevens

| June 25, 2009 9:00 PM

We give into God’s loving embrace a wonderful woman, Sharon Stevens, who passed away Thursday, June 18, 2009, at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d’Alene. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and best friend.

Sharon, 70, of Sandpoint and formerly of Naples, was born July 16, 1938, in Sandpoint to Andrew and Mary Anna Carnegie.

The only thing brighter than the smile on her face was her smiling eyes. She was loving, gentle, kind, and so funny.

One of her favorite things to do was sing and play guitar with her family and friends. She had a passion for arts and crafts that we all still get to enjoy.

Her sense of humor, which she acquired from her adored daddy, was a quality we all loved about her. She was deeply loved and will be held in all our hearts always. We love you, Mommy!

Sharon will be met with open arms in heaven by her parents; sisters Delores Wright, Gerri Eastin and Carla Therien; and grandson David Kamp.

Sharon leaves behind her husband, Joe; children Rocky (Nita) Eveland of Walters, Okla., Nancy (Don) Metcalf of Loon Lake, Wash., Rita (Vance) Stapleton of Hot Springs, Mont., Carlotta (Jim) Martin of Naples, Clayton (Penny) Eveland of Coeur d’Alene, Rennie Eveland of Milton Freewater, Ore., and Clinton Eveland and Laura (Dave Kindall) Eveland, both of Sandpoint; brothers Jimmy and Andrew Carnegie, both of Sandpoint; sister Charlene Bennett of Sandpoint; stepmother Marie Klink; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial graveside services were held Wednesday at Lakeview Cemetery in Sandpoint.

Family and friends may sign Sharon’s online guest book at www.coffeltfuneral.com.
