Truss Tek in Bonners Ferry has been awarded a subcontract for building a $3.1 million office building for Idaho Panhandle National Forest’s Sandpoint Ranger District.

Swank Enterprises of Kalispell, Mont., will be the general contractor on the project. Truss Tek, which will provide the roof trusses, is among a number of firms from Hayden, Sandpoint, Coeur d’Alene and Priest Lake that received subcontracting work valued at $1 million.

The new single-story office building will be located on U.S. Forest Service property at 1602 Ontario St. in Sandpoint. Construction on the 13,300-square-foot station is expected to begin within a month with completion slated for early 2010.
