Harold "Hal" Lee Fairchild

Harold "Hal" Lee Fairchild, passed away at home on his 58th birthday after a courageous battle with cancer.

Hal was born May 7, 1951, in Grand Coulee, Wash., to Harold and Loretta Fairchild and moved to Bonners Ferry in 1971 after spending time in different parts of Washington and Florida.

During his battle with cancer, Hal continued to have a positive attitude and always kept his sense of humor. With Hal, you always knew where you stood, and he wasn't afraid to tell you what he thought.

Growing up, Hal enjoyed riding horses, leather work, fishing and motorcycle riding.

Hal later married the former Penny Gross and had two sons prior to their divorce.

He is survived by his sons Keith (Jessica) Fairchild and Daniel (Julie) Fairchild; grandchildren Makayla, Austin, Dalton, Jordan and Josh; siblings Jim (Juanita) Fairchild, Scott (Amanda) Fairchild, Cindy (Mick) Atkins and Penny (Chuck) Frame; many nieces and nephews; special friends Mary Kay, Jeanette, Fred and Alice, and Shannon; and all of the others he kept close to his heart. Hal was preceded in death by his mother, Uncle Glenn, Grandma and Grandpa Watson, Grandpa Glenn and Grandma Dorothy, Ben Watson and Uncle Jack.
