Betty Uvon Adkins, 84

Betty Uvon Adkins, 84, passed away Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009, in the emergency room at Boundary Community Hospital in Bonners Ferry.

Memorial services will be announced next summer.

Betty was born Aug. 24, 1925, in Oakley, Idaho, to Sam and Minnie Fulgham. They moved to Emmett shortly after Betty’s birth.

She grew up and attended school in Emmett.

Betty married to Wayne Adkins on Aug. 9, 1940. Two sons were born to this union.

Betty is survived by her sons Dallas (Fran) of Billings, Mont., and David (Rebecca) of Fairfield, Calif.; brothers Tom (Sharon) Fulgham of Valrico, Fla., Lee (LuAnn) Fulgham of Port Falls, and Gene (Marti) Fulgham of Langley; a sister, Arlene Norwood of Bonners Ferry; four granddaughters; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Betty was preceded in death by her husband Wayne, parents and brother Leon. 

Betty had lived at Aces Elder Care in recent years and the family had a great appreciation for the wonderful care.
