The new owner of The Creamery in downtown Bonners Ferry feels fortunate to have found what she wanted.

For about eight months Deb Bellmore looked for an established business that could be profitable. On Sept. 14, she became the new owner of the sandwich and specialty coffee shop on Kootenai Street.

Bellmore has added to the menu turkey cranberry and Hawaiian sandwiches, a healthy heart plate and taco salads.

She moved to Bonners Ferry with her husband, who’s a pharmacist and was raised here. The couple seven years ago moved from Wenatchee, Wash., with their two cats.

Bellmore has done a variety of things including investigating, negotiating and settling personal injury claims as a liaison between attorneys, a dispensing optician, party planner and decorator, and catering.

Bellmore appreciates the support she has received from the community who have made the first couple weeks in business very memorable.

“I appreciate everyone coming in and I will continue to produce a good product,” she said.
