Candidate sets record straight

Let’s set the record straight.

My name is Rosanne Smith. That is the true and correct spelling. That is the spelling that will be used on the Moyie Springs ballot Tuesday, Nov. 3.

I have been described by the Bonners Ferry Herald as a “newcomer.” However, I have lived and owned a home in Moyie Springs since 2002.

Unlike one of my opponents, I have attended Moyie City Council meetings since late 2006 and participated in several of the annual cleanups.

I decided to run for the elected position of council member because I have grown tired of the fiscal irresponsibility and the arbitrary enforcement of certain ordinances against a few. I am also available to work full time towards bringing our codes and ordinances up to date.
