Motivational speaker Brad Henning will return to Boundary County School District to talk about building relationships and abstinence.

The founder of Life Resources, Henning teaches youth the emotional differences between men and women by showing them the value of sexual abstinence before marriage.

Henning will speak to parents of students at Bonners Ferry High School and Boundary County Middle School from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3.

“It’s basically a snapshot to see what Brad will be presenting to the kids,” said high school guidance counselor Matt Flieger. “He’s such a powerful speaker, that if you get a chance, you should check him out.”

During school on Thursday, Nov. 4, students from both schools will have an assembly with Henning.

Henning graduated in 1970 with a bachelor’s degree from Seattle Pacific College. For the last 30 years he has worked with junior high, senior high and college students throughout the Northwest.

From 1988 to 1994, Henning was area director for Young Life in the Greater Puyallup Valley in Washington. During that time, he made classroom presentations on relationships and abstinence in public schools in Washington, Oregon, Montana and Alaska.

Because of demand for the presentation, Henning left Young Life staff in 1994 to found Life Resources, a non-profit organization which allows him to do presentations full-time.

Life Resources has served schools in Idaho, Indiana, Texas, North Carolina, California and Canada, as well as the original four states.

Brad and his wife, Barbara, live in Puyallup.
