Lisa Maureen and Michael D. Walte

Mr. and Mrs. Oran Winter of Mt. Hope, Kansas, have announced the engagement of their daughter, Lisa Maureen and Michael D. Walter, the son of David and Brenda Walter of Bonners Ferry.

The bride-to-be received her bachelor’s of science in communications and public relations from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas. She is the employee relations manager for GenQuest in Albuquerque, N.M.

Her future husband is a 1995 graduate of Bonners Ferry High School. He received a bachelor’s of science in electrical engineering from the University of Portland and a master’s in electrical engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. He is a senior test engineer in Directed Energy and Payload Launch for Shafer Corp. in Albuquerque.

The couple will wed Nov. 14, 2009, at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church in Albuquerque and after a honeymoon in Hawaii, will live in Albuquerque.
