Mountain Mike's moves to a new location

Mountain Mike’s health food store has relocated to 6486 South Main St. in Bonners Ferry, formerly the Hot Spot.

Owners Julie and Mike Kirk opened the store in 2001 next to the car-wash on South Main Street.

“We opened the store eight years ago at the old location,” said Julie Kirk.

The store carries health food products, vitamins and supplements. 

“We moved into this location because it is larger, there is more parking and we can accommodate our elderly customers better since there is a ramp rather than stairs,” said Julie Kirk.

She wants to go back to juicing and making apple cider, something got away from in the old location.

She said she would like to carry more health and beauty items as well.

“At some point, in the future after I get everything organized, I would also like to add soup and sandwiches,” Kirk said.

Mountain Mike’s  has eight employees working n the store.

Mountain Mike’s is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.  For information, call 267-3748.
