BFHS girls lose soccer opener

The visiting Badgers dropped its league game at Orofino Saturday.  The final score Orofino 3, Badgers 0.

The Badgers held off all Orofino’s attempts during the entire first half of 40 minutes. Half-time showed a game with no score by either team.

Five minutes into the second half a personal defensive foul by the Badgers allowed a direct kick into the net for Orofino’s first goal.  Two additional fouls by the Badgers allowed the final two Orofino goals.

Outstanding play by the Badgers goal keeper, Samantha Schmitz as well as extreme efforts by many of the starters and non-starters showed progress since the opening non-league games, according to John Lindberg.

The Badgers play at 4 p.m. Sept. 8 against Lakeland
