Badger Girls Soccer

The Bonners Ferry girls soccer team entered the win column Tuesday by defeating the Lakeland JV Hawks 5-0.

The shots on goal showed the advantage going to the Badgers 8 to 5. Corner kicks had Lakeland 2 and the home team taking 6.

The scores started by the Badgers at the seventh minute by Liz Racer and followed by two goals from Kendra Johnson at the 16th and 31st minute of play. Second half scores came at the 77th minute and 79th minute by Matti Severson and Kendra Johnson.

This was the first “hat trick” by Kendra, said coach John Lindberg.

“The Badger deep defense played very well as proved by Amanda Riley, Hailey Pruitt and keeper Samantha Schmitz.

The Lady Badgers are 1-3 overall and 0-1 in the Intermountain League. The girls play at 4 p.m. today, Sept. 10, in Priest River, 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, in Kellogg, 11 a.m. Saturday at home with St. Maries and 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, at Timberlake.
