Bonners woman hurt in crash dies

A Bonners Ferry woman injured in a July 31 head-on crash south of Bonners Ferry has died.

Elizabeth L. May, 80, passed away Aug. 29, at Hospice of Spokane, Wash.

May was driving northbound on Highway 95 near Gabby Goose daycare when, for an unknown reason, a southbound car driven by Narven E. Osteen, 77, of Libby, Mont., crossed the centerline and hit May’s Toyota Corolla.

Both were flown to the Sacred Heart Medical Center after the crash.
