Stephanie Chase, a licensed massage therapist, has brought serenity to downtown Bonners Ferry.

Chase specializes in Swedish, deep tissue, neuromuscular massage, full therapeutic massage and heat packs.

“I have 15 years experience and specialize in deep tissue massage, which helps with accident injuries and chronic problems,” said Chase.

She received her training in Colorado, where she had a clinic for eight years before moving to Hawaii and working for Weston and The Ritz Carlton for four years.

Chase came to Bonners Ferry three years ago with her husband, Josh, and daughter, Ana, who is now 3. She worked at Kootenai River Inn Spa for one year before opening her own shop at Tucked Away, a business Stephanie co-owns with her mother, Helen Chase.

When Stephanie Chase cane to Bonners Ferry, she wasn’t going to practice because she wanted to be a stay-at-home mom. Her mother told people she was licensed in massage and they asked if she would consider taking clients.

The space for massages at Tucked Away is not a spa setting but is ideal because “it is a cool, quiet and tranquil environment,” said Stephanie Chase.

She is available for massage Thursday and Friday. To schedule an appointment or for information, call 946-7904.
