Ila Mae Eberly, 74

Ila Mae Eberly, 74, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, friend and neighbor, went home to eternal peace and joy on Friday, Sept. 12, 2009.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2009, at the Bonners Ferry Funeral Home with interment in the Grandview Cemetery, Bonners Ferry.

Ila was born on Feb. 3, 1935, in Orofino to Marcus and Nina Hampton.

Ila and Burt were married on April 13, 1963, and enjoyed life together for 46 years.

Their home for the passed 38 years has been in Moyie Springs, where Ila enjoyed serving her community on Moyie Springs City Council and obtaining her Master Gardener’s certification.

Ila had a love and compassion for animals, enjoyed fishing with family, and expressed her creativity through knitting, crocheting, embroidery and other crafts.

She is survived by her companion, friend and husband Burt Eberly, daughters Nancy N. Jones of Spokane, Wash.; Carol and Bob Merrifield of Athol; and Gloria and Jeff Groff of LaGrande, Ore.; stepson Dale and Linda Eberly of Payette; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
