Dig Pink

| September 24, 2009 9:00 PM

The first annual “Dig Pink” fundraiser for breast cancer awareness will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday Oct. 5, at Bonners Ferry High School during the BFHS girls volleyball match.

Those attending should wear pink to the game in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, which is October.

The cost to get into the game is $5.

The “C”, junior varsity and varsity girls volleyball teams will hold a silent auction during the game. Items donated by the girls and their parents will include baked goods and gift baskets.  Money donations will also be accepted.

“The girls set themselves a goal of raising $2,500,” said junior varsity coach, Desi Staples. The girls are very excited about this.  It is a new and a good thing to bring the community into to get involved.”
