Girls defeat Priest River 2-0, tie Lake City 1-1

Bonners Ferry High School Girls’ Soccer Team on Monday tied the Lake City Junior Varsity girls 1-1.

Both teams had several opportunities to score, but goalkeepers kept that from happening.

Emily Schrock opened scoring for Lake City during the 31st minute.

Lady Badger Emily Pauls responded with a goal in the 38th minute with an 18-yard blast.

The second half 40 minutes of play was pure offense and fine defense by both teams, said Badger coach John Lindberg.

Both teams had 12 shots-on-goal each.

“(It was) a very fine effort by each team,” Lindberg said.
