BONNERS FERRY – The Boundary County Historical Society has received a grant of $500 from the Boundary County Community Fund in the Idaho Community Foundation for an interpretative exhibit to the timber industry in Boundary County. The Boundary County Fund was established by the Boundary County Community Foundation.

The Boundary County Historical Society helps promote interest in the heritage of the area as well as carry on educational programs concerning the region. The timber industry represents a historic and significant role in the growth and development of Boundary County, and is an important story that needs to be told for the benefit of the area residents and tourists alike.

“The grant will make it possible for us to continue our efforts to improve the Museum as well as demonstrate the significant role of the timber industry in our community,” said Gini Woodward, Boundary County Historical Society Secretary. “The Idaho Community Foundation and Boundary County Community Foundation deserve special thanks for helping us with this.”
