Badger girls drop two to Lakeland JV

BONNERS FERRY — Chelsea Taggart pitched eight strike-outs and five walks in seven innings of the opening match with the Lakeland JV team Saturday and Jordan Porter posted the same stats in five innings of game two, but the Badgers were overpowered, falling to the Hawks 11-2 in the opener and 17-7 in game two.

Taggart and Samantha Robertson both had two hits in the opening game, including a double for Robertson, Rebecca Farrens hit a double and Porter a single.

In game two, Lindsay Taggart had three hits, including one homerun bunt on errors, Caitlin Alexander and Robertson each had two hits, and Taggart, Aramie Hoisington, Ivy Dirks, Mattea Bertling and Belle Wages each had one.

Kristen Klopatek managed the mound for the Hawks, throwing three strike outs and no walks in game one, three strike outs and three walks in game two.
