Tigers trip up Badgers 6-2

BONNERS FERRY — The Bonners Ferry Badgers came out swinging against the league leading Timberlake Tigers but failed to put many runs on the board as the Tigers beat the Badgers 6 – 2 in IML action last Tuesday.          Bonners Ferry out hit Timberlake 12 to 6 but also hit in to three key double plays that killed innings for the Badgers.  Senior pitcher Zach Maas pitch four strong innings but took the loss.

Timberlake Senior Kyle Overland starting the scoring by hitting a solo home run in the bottom of the third inning.  In the fourth, the Tigers added five more runs on three hits to go up 6–0. 

The Badgers scored two runs in the top of the 5th when sophomore Alex Awbreyhit a single and later scored on a double by senior Colton Telford.  Telford later scored on junior Alek Lopez single to make the score 6-2. 

Colton Telford, CJ Erickson and Matt Surrena each collected two hits for the Badgers while Alek Lopez was a perfect four for four on the day.
