Living Well in Idaho Workshop Series to Start
Anyone 55 or older with conditions such as diabetes, arthritis, high blood pressure, heart disease, chronic pain, anxiety, or other chronic condition, the Living Well in Idaho workshops can help you take charge of your life.
Living Well in Idaho, a series of six free workshops, will be held from at 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. starting Wednesday, Sept. 1, at the University of Idaho Extension Conference Room in Bonners Ferry.
The workshops are being taught by Charla-Jo Spradlin and Wendy McClintock, both with ongoing health conditions themselves and trained as leaders in the Stanford University evidence-based workshops for Living Well in Idaho.
Throughout the workshops support will be offered, find practical ways to deal with pain and fatigue, discover better nutrition and exercise choices, understand new treatment choices, and learn better ways to talk to doctors and family about health issues.
The workshops are a collaborative effort between Panhandle Health District, Idaho Department of Health and Welfare and UI Extension Boundary County. Enrollment is limited.
