Adam Hall Wins Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational
In the last three years, Adam Hall placed 7th, 4th, and 2nd at previous Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitationals. In 2010, the the No. 3 ranked Boise State red-shirt senior finally finished first at 157 pounds.
Hall scored a major win over Andrew Balch, Cal State. Bakersfield, 11-4, pinned Ryan Goodman, Virginia Tech in 4:39, and decisioned both D.J. Meagher, Cornell, and Colt Sponseller, Ohio State by scores of 5-2.
This set up a finals rematch between Hall and Bubba Jenkins of Arizona State. Jenkins beat Hall 12-4 at the NWCA All-Star Classic in Fresno, Calif., knocking Hall from his No.1 national ranking. But the second time around, was a different story.
Hall battled to a 1-1 tie in regulation period. But the better conditioned Hall went on to win in overtime, 2-1 TB. These two will meet again several more times later this season.
