Douglas Franklin Belden, 43

Douglas Franklin Belden, 43, passed away Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d’Alene.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Bonners Ferry.

Doug was born April 6, 1966, in Jerome to Carl and Verna Belden. He lived in Shoshone until he was 4 when his parents moved to Trinidad, Colo.

Doug then moved to Bonners Ferry, where he started and completed his education.

He spent four years in the Army serving as a military police officer in Germany and Fort Leavenworth.

Doug returned to Bonners Ferry. He worked different jobs until he could no longer work.

Doug loved fishing, especially at Smith Lake, playing darts and he ran a print ball field and game operation. His “Internet” family was very important to him.

Doug is survived by his parents in Bonners Ferry; brother Vern Belden and his wife, Suzie, of Georgetown, Texas; a sister, Tanya Foltz and her husband, Jim, of Lewistown, Pa.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Doug was preceded in death by his brother, Duane Belden, and sister, Nancy Belden.
