Maxine Helen Mason Lockman, 64

Maxine Helen Mason Lockman, 64, passed away Friday, Feb. 5, 2009, at Boundary Community Hospital in Bonners Ferry.

Services were held Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bonners Ferry.

Maxine was born to Mack Mason and Geneda Whilbek Mason of Kalispel, Mont., on Jan 6, 1946.

She lived most of her young life in Bonners Ferry.

Maxine married Lester “Ike” Lockman of Bonners Ferry in 1964.

She moved to Everett, Wash., where her only child, Gerald D. Lockman, was born in 1969.

Maxine later moved to Clarkston, Wash., where she proudly worked for Albertsons until retiring in 1990.

Maxine returned to Bonners Ferry, where she has now come to rest.

She enjoyed gardening, playing cards and was known for morning phone calls over a hot cup of coffee.

Maxine was preceded in death by her granddaughter Elizebeth Kathleen Lockman.

Maxine is survived by her husband; son, Gerald D. Lockman of Bonners Ferry; sisters Sheila Reinders, and Sharon Mason, both of Clarkston; grandchildren Bidgette M. Lockman, Zackree R. Lockman, Lattishia A. Lockman and Cody R. Lockman, all of Bonners Ferry; and great-grandchild Dane S. Glasson of Bonners Ferry.
