Addie Arlene Ratcliff, 89

Former Boundary County resident Addie Arlene Ratcliff, 89, of Albuquerque, N.M., passed away  Friday, Feb. 12, 2010.

Addie was born Oct. 9, 1920, in Pueblo, Colo., to Lavina Williams and Addison Hinsdale.

At age 13, Addie moved to Copeland with her family.

She married Jesse Ratcliff in 1938 and moved to Fry Creek Ranch in District 2.

In 1949, they moved to Priest River and 10 years later, they moved to Grangeville, where Addie worked for the Grangeville Hospital. Later they moved to Medford, Ore.

Addie then went to live with her daughter in Albuquerque.

Addie loved her family, animals and doing art.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, stepfather Earl Wallen and a sister.

Survivors include her children Larry, Phil and Willis, all of White City, Ore., Phyliss of Albuquerque and Lorne of Eugene, Ore.; sisters Ellen Shepler of Post Falls and Betty Bailey of Spokane, Wash.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Private services were held at Holy Family Cemetery in Spokane.
