Boundary County Middle School girls basketball

Timberlake fell to the Boundary County Middle School seventh-grade girls 50-16.

The team’s record is 8-0

Cheyenne Oyharsabel led the scoring with 10 points, Jasmine Hill added 9 points with 8 assists, and Kendra Merritt had 9 points and pulled in 11 rebounds.

The Lady Badgers led 9-4 in the first quarter and applied defensive pressure to extend the lead 32-6 by half-time.

Peyton Owens scored 6, Abby Skeen 5, Emma Pluid 3, Jordon Merz and Savanna Woods each scored 2.

In other action, the girls defeated Lakeland 41-4.

Pluid scored 6 points and 4 rebounds. Merritt grabbed 6 steals. Oyharsabal scored the first 8 points of the game in fast-break play.

Skeen led in scoring with 9 and had 3 steals and 5 assists.
