The U.S. Census Bureau will be sending Census takers door to door in Bonners Ferry and Boundary County on Friday, Feb 26.
Bonners Ferry Deputy Chief of Police Joel Minor said there are 16 local residents who will hand out Census forms. They are not required nor should they ask to enter homes.
Census takers will be wearing identification badges and carry black bags marked “U.S. Census.”
“We need to makes sure our folks know the Census takers are coming through. They should not be asking to come inside or asking people to provide records to them,” said Minor.
