Thomas Oakley Anderson, 68

Thomas Oakley Anderson, 68, of Deer Park, Wash., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010.

Tom was born Dec. 20, 1941, in Spokane, Wash., to Lawrence Lyle and Myrta Marie Jackson Alderson. Tom was their oldest.

He spent his informative years on a farm in Bonners Ferry, graduating from Bonners Ferry High School in 1961.

Tom studied at the University of Idaho before starting his long career in road construction. He was employed by companies such as Peter Kwiet and Scarcella Bros.

Tom was a member of the Operating Engineers International Union.

He is survived by his wife, Rosa, at home; daughter Shannon Jorgenson and her husband, Matthew; grandsons Ryan, Jason, Tyson and Matthew, all of Loon Lake; brothers William L. and Sandy, James R., Robert A. and Wanda, and Steven L. and Carla, all of Spokane, John M. and Linda of Bonny Lake, Wash., and Daniel A. of Selinsgrove, Penna.; sisters Jacklyn K. and James Hunter of Lacey, Wash., Denise D. and Steve Roeberg of Dalton Gardens, and Janice J. and Robert Bucknell of Spokane Valley, Wash.; an uncle, Levi Albert of Elk, Wash.; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held Tuesday at Christ's Church of Deer Park.

Lauer Funeral Home in Deer Park handled arrangements.
