Safeway not buying Boundary Trading Co.

An executive with Safeway headquarters in Bellvue, Wash., denied rumors that the company has acquired Boundary Trading Co.

“I don’t know anything about it,” said Cherie Myers, director of public and government affairs. “It’s not even on my radar.”

There are 1,775 Safeway stores across the United States and Canada.
