Bonners Ferry High School Students go to state

Bonners Ferry High School students Nick Dugger, Zach Hammond, Jared Lynse, Brandon Neuman and Arthur Putnam will be attending the Business Professionals of America State Leadership Conference on March 11 through 13 at Boise State University. 

On December 17, at a Regional BPA Conference held at North Idaho College, these students achieved state qualifying scores on their respective competitions.

These BFHS students competed with approximately 170 other students from Coeur d’ Alene, Kellogg, Kootenai, Lake City, Lakeland, Lakeside, Post Falls, Priest River, Sandpoint, St. Maries, Timberlake, and Wallace High Schools.  Students were allowed a choice of over 50 separate business competitions to enter.

The team of Nick Dugger, Brandon Neuman, and Arthur Putnam placed first in Network Design Team. Arthur Putnam placed second and Brandon Neuman third in Cisco Systems Administration.  Zach Hammond placed second and Nick Dugger third in Network Administration Using Microsoft. A

Achieving state qualifying scores in Financial Math and Analysis were Jared Lynse and Zach Hammond.

BPA members compete in demonstrations of their business technology skills, develop their professional and leadership skills, and network with one another and professionals across the nation. 

Bonners Ferry High School BPA students are advised by BFHS Business Technology Teacher Leo Naiman.

Business Professionals of America is the leading Career Technical Student Organization for students pursuing careers in business management, office administration, information technology and other related career fields.
