SANDPOINT — Emily Pauls and Erin Hiatt both had solid all-around games to lead Bonners Ferry to a 53-38 nonleague win over Sandpoint Saturday night during the Moose Madness spirit games at Sandpoint Middle School.

Pauls stuffed the stat sheet with seven points, six assists and five steals, Hiatt tallied nine points, six rebounds and five steals, and Hallie Payne dropped in 12 points as the Badgers (6-8) blew a tight game open in the second half.

Koko James had eight points and a game-high 15 rebounds, Maggie Kirscher scored 11 to go with nine boards, and Christina Johnson scored 10 to lead Sandpoint (1-14 in defeat.

The two teams combined to shoot a whopping 76 foul shots in the overly-officiated game, with the Badgers making 16 of 39 and the Bulldogs making 19 of 37.

Sandpoint is at Lakeland on Tuesday.
