Mckenzie Moore has been selected by the Bonners Ferry High School staff as January’s Delta Kappa Gamma Student of the Month.

The daughter of Dan and Karen Moore, Mckenzie is a sophomore. She is a cheerleader and belongs to Pep Club. Mckenzie likes to ski and be outdoors.

She recently participated in a class for certified nurse aides at Boundary Community Hospital, which validated her desire to become a registered nurse. Mckenzie plans to study nursing at a college in Oregon and wants to become a school nurse.

Mckenzie enjoys her biology class as it is active with labs and hands-on activities.

Biology teacher Judy Wages commends Mckenzie for being extremely polite, hard working and respectful.

Mckenzie especially appreciates math teacher Nancy Bucher’s willingness to help and explain concepts. Bucher praises Mckenzie for her diligence in earning her good grades and being a role model.

When asked to describe herself, Mckenzie says she is introverted yet patient and understanding. She is willing to put others first and wants others to be happy.
