Darby and Amber Campbell

Darby and Amber Campbell passed away in a tragic boating accident on Lake Pend Oreille Saturday, July 3, 2010.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 17, at their home, 1040 Sunnyside Road, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

John Darby Campbell was born July 6, 1979, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, to Chris and Jennie Campbell.

He grew up in Sandpoint, Idaho and Park City, Utah. He attended Park City High School.

After graduating with a bachelor's degree from the University of California Santa Barbara he worked as an assistant producer in the television industry in Los Angeles.

Amber Acacia Coffman was born Aug. 5, 1975, in Los Gatos, Calif., to Stephen and Christina Coffman. She grew up in Bonners Ferry and Sandpoint and attended Sandpoint High School.

Amber was an accredited and very gifted esthetician and spa therapist. She was co-owner of the Wildflower Day Spa in Sandpoint.

Darby and Amber were married on Aug. 4, 2007. They divided their time between Maui, Hawaii, and Sandpoint.

Amber and Darby shared their love of the waters from the Hawaiian Islands to Lake Pend Oreille. They were passionate about water sports, camping with their friends and family on the beach and the lakeshore, and about the love of life in general.

Darby is survived by his parents Chris and Jennie Campbell in Sandpoint.

Amber is survived by her mother, Christina Coffman of Pine Grove, Calif.; her father and stepmother, Stephen and Cheryl Coffman of Sandpoint; sisters, Rachel Carson, Daisy (Matt) Coffman, Clarity Coffman and Jessie Shifrin; and nieces and nephews, Andrew, Ella, Luke, Whitney, and Micah.

The families of Darby and Amber and their multitude of friends mourn the loss of our dear ones yet we are so grateful for our time with them. We continue to celebrate their lives and the beauty, joy, compassion, mirth and grace they brought to us all.
