Hazel Pearl Severson McGlocklin finished tending her worldly garden and went to be with her Lord on June 12, 2010.

Hazel passed peaceably at her home in Bonners Ferry surrounded by family and friends.

Services were held on Friday, June 18, 2010, at 2 p.m. in Bonners Ferry Funeral Home in Bonners Ferry with private interment in the Grandview Cemetery.

She was born Hazel Pearl Dickenson on Nov. 12, 1920, in Scobey Mont. She lived on the family farm and attended local schools in Scobey with her three brothers and  two sisters.

She then moved to Williston, N.D., where her son Roger Ellig was born.  From North Dakota she moved to Kellogg, Idaho, and then lived for several years in Port Orchard, Wash. She returned to Idaho, eventually settling in Post Falls where in 1948 she married Ardon Willis Severson.

While in Post Falls her sons= Dale Ardon and Kim LeRoy, and daughter Pamela Rae were born. Ardon and Hazel and their children enjoyed the natural beauty of Idaho with many camping and fishing trips.

Hazel also shared her love while she worked as certified nursing assistant for Coeur d’ Alene homes. The family moved to Eastport before settling in Bonner’s Ferry in 1969. While in Bonners, Hazel worked for many years with love and dedication at the Bonners Ferry hospital and was active in the local churches.

She was predeceased by her husband Ardon and beloved daughter Pam.

In 1985, Hazel married Robert McGlocklin and they enjoyed splitting time between their property in Laughlin Nevada and their home in Bonners.

At the time of her death she was married to Andrew Lon Huggins. Hazel was active in the Senior Center where she had many lifelong friends.

Throughout her life, she tended a garden of flowers, friends and family.  She touched us all with love, joy and laughter and will never be forgotten.

“While we have time let us do good.”
