Invernon, Hampton take state titles

Bonners Ferry freshman Blaine Invernon and junior Trevor Hampton took titles during the 3A State Wrestling Tournament in Pocatello last weekend.

Invernon (103) was 27-5 on the season. Hampton (140) was 36-10 for the season.

The Badgers placed fifth overall with 103 points. American Falls won the tournament with 157 points.

Junior Dustin Koehler (125) placed fourth and was 21-17 for the season. Junior Ben Watt (135) placed second and finished the season 37-11.

Zach Heigel (171) placed sixth and finished the season 26- 22.
