Home Away From Home Child Care opened Monday at 7428 Caribou St., Bonners Ferry.

Owner Amanda Young has worked in childcare for seven years and has a 9-month-old daughter.

Home Away From Home will be open 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and will accept up to six children daily. After-hour care can be arranged, and drop-offs are permitted with a 30-minute notice.

There will be individual and group learning environments.

Rates are competitive.
