Liermann rolls 231 in Tuesday Troubles; Strikers have most high scores
Sorry for the delay in Sunday's news, but we were out of town and didn't get back in time to the news from March 7 in on time. Better late than never they say. So, here are the top scores from the past Sunday.
Leading the women was Carolyn McNeill with the HSG of 183, Loni Hopper and Lil Jimenez with the HSS of 444, Edith Myers having a 240 for HHG, and Brenda Parks having a 653 for HHS.
Andy Short bowled a 257 for HSG, 616 for HSS, and 265 for HSG. Jerry Jimenez, Sr. had a 676 for HHS.
For the teams, the East L.A. Strikers came in with most of the high scores this week. They had a 711 for HSG, 2012 for HSS, and 2513 for HHS. The Home Town Heroes had the HHG with 879.
Other 500 series' were bowled by Evert Kittell 537, Jerry Jimenez Sr. 535, Buster Richards 582, George Schernitzki 552, and Tom Florea 502. Those having a 200 game were Buster Richards, 215, George Schernitzki, 211, and Andy Short, 215.
Bowlers having doubles were Regis McNeill, Burt Eberly, George Schernitzki, Loni Hooper, Terry Jeppesen, Cathy Florea, Tom Florea, Edith Myers, Ron Canida, Jon Rogers, Evert Kittell, Willie Jimenez, and Nina Saunders. Bowlers having two doubles were MaryAnn Dinning, Andy Short, Jerry Jimenez Sr., and Lil Jimenez.
Turkeys were had by these bowlers, Edith Myers, Jerry Jimenez Sr., Terry Jeppesen, and Buster Richards. Four strikes in a row were bowled by Evert Kittell, Buster Richards, Bob McGraw and George Schernitzki. Andy Short also had a 4-bagger along with his seven in a row.
Some of the splits picked up were by Loni Hooper and MaryAnn Dinning getting the 3-10, Evert Kittell getting a 5-10, George Schernitzki had a 7-9-10, and Nancy Bornemann a 2-7 and a 2-7-8.
Now, let's go on to the scores from March 14. The Gutter Rats came out on top with the high scores this week. They had the HSG of 758, HSS of 2099, HHG of 922 and HHS of 2591.
Jeanie Richards led the women this week with her high scratch game of 176 and high scratch series of 455. Nancy Bornemann had the high handicap game with 233, and Nina Saunders had the high handicap series of 617.
For the men, sub Andy Scott had the HSG of 237 and HSS of 607. Jon Rogers had a 277 for HHG and a 705 for HHS.
Other 200 games bowled were by Jon Rogers with 224, Evert Kittell with 218 and Buster Richards with 201 and 235. Buster Richards also had a nice 621 scratch series. Others having a 500 series were Evert Kittell with a 539, and Jon Rogers a 546.
Doubles were bowled by Buster Richards, Jeanie Richards, Jerry Jimenez, Jr. Lillie Jimenez, Levi Eleazer, Ron Canida, Terry Jeppeson, Evert Kittell, Tom Florea (two), Andy Short (two), and Bob McGraw (two). Jerry Jimenez, Sr., Cathy Florea and Andy Scott all had a turkey. Evert Kittell and Buster Richards each had two and Jon Rogers had three turkeys. Andy Scott had four in a row.
Several people were able to convert their splits into spares tonight. Bob McGraw got a 3-10, Julia Eleazer got the 3-10 and the 3-7-10, Nina Saunders got the 4-5, Cathy Florea got the 4-5-7, Lonie Hooper got a 3-10, Roger Miller got a 2-7, Sherri Miller got a 2-10 and a 5-10, and Andy Scott got a 3-10.

TUESDAY TROUBLES
Here are the scores for this league from March 9.
Leading the teams this week were the Wild Ones with high scratch scores of 500 and 1442. Handicap scores were by The Three Aces with 644 and 1891. Jenny Liermann led us again with here HSG of 231, HSS 630, Nina Saunders tied for HHG of 246, and Jenny Liermann a 675 for HHS.
Coming in with second high scores were Carolyn McNeill with a 181 for HSG, Sheila Benson a 463 HSS, Carolyn McNeill had a 239 HHG and Nina Saunders 657 for HHS. Those coming in third were Sheila Benson with a 179 for HSG, Sherri Miller 452 HSS, Babe Troyer, Virginia Sanborn and Donna Kent all having a 231 for HHG, and Shirley Elliott a 646 for HHS.
Splits were picked up Lil Jimenez, a 4-5 and a 3-10. Donna Kent got the 4-5, Virginia Sanborn got a 3-10, Sheila Benson got a 4-5-7, Evelyn Smith got a 4-5, and Babe Troyer got the 5-7-8.
Doubles were bowled by Shirley Elliott , Virginia Sanborn and Sheila Benson. Nancy Adams had a turkey and Carolyn McNeill got a four-bagger. Jenny Liermann had two doubles, two turkeys, and a four-bagger for her days earnings.
