Safeway gas station wanted here

Following your story about the relocation and upgrading of the Safeway Store in Bonner's Ferry, my wife contacted the Safeway Corporate Office about the possibilty of having a Safeway Gas Station at the new store.

    She explained the difficulty using our Safeway Gas Points because the nearest Safeway with gas station is a 160 mile round trip and so we lose our points because there is no gas station here.

    Safeway's response was to say that the more people who call Safeway Corporate Office and request this, the more attention we will get from the 'decision people'. Their phone number is 1-877-723-3929 and email is www.safeway.com.

 I added that an in-store Starbucks would also be a great idea.!
