Badger duffers down Priest River

The entire Badger golf team traveled to Priest River for a nine-hole dual Thursday, and boys varsity squad came away with a 34-stroke win, downing the Spartans 146-180.

Medalist honors went to Aaron Moe, who carded an even par 33. Carey Reynolds was a stroke behind with 34, followed by Derrick Alt, 36, and Chase Mellon and Evan Moe both carding 43.

No girls are on the Priest River team, but Badger’s lone woman, Bella Orr, carded a 59. JV players Rob Braniff shot a 59 and Jared Mendenhall came in with 56.

On April 26th, the team traveled to the Sandpoint Invite at “The Links” in Post Falls, and the boys varsity finished in eighth place overall with a team total 335.

Aaron Moe and Alt both came in with 79-strokes, followed by Reynolds, 81, and Mellon and Evan Moe at 96.

Lewiston won the tourney with a team total 287, and Lewiston’s Brandon Koehler took medalist honors with a two-under-par 70.
