Gary Harold Warwick, 60, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2010.

To know him was to love him. His smile lit up a room, if you met him you would never forget him; he made everyone feel important.

Born in Kirkland, Wash., on February 5, 1950 to Art and Edna Warwick. When Gary was six months old his family moved to Prosser, Wash., where he spent most if his life.

Gary attended school in Prosser graduating in 1968. After high school he attended Yakima Valley College from 1968 to 1970, majoring in criminal law, which started his career as Yakima Valley sheriff.

He also owned and operated Lava Rock Nursery and Landscape in Sunnyside, Wash., until he retired in 2008 after falling ill in late 2006. He was always full of life and had a smile that charmed everyone.

Gary welcomed his daughter Denise, who was later joined by brother Shawn. Gary loved his children and was a very proud father.

He married his soul mate and love of his life Billie Jean in 2005. Gary and Billie went on many fun adventures throughout their marriage and were truly inseparable. She never left his side and was there for him every step of the way.

In 2008, Gary and Billie moved to Bonners Ferry, Idaho, where he opened Hot Rods and Gals until his illness forced him to close the doors. He met many wonderful people that brightened his days. Many thanks to Rick and Border Bob amongst many others.

Gary had a lot of exciting hobbies such as collecting classic cars. His favorite past time was attending car shows. Gary always said he had the perfect childhood and life. He planned to retire and follow his passion, but unfortunately he never got to enjoy all the benefits of his hard work. He greatly missed landscaping and crating fun areas around his nursery and regretted ever selling it.

Survived by Denise and Ryan Ennis, Sean and Cat Warwick and his stepchildren Gary and Heather Larson, Michelle Moser, Adam Mccray, and Jason and Rich Selstrom. Also survived by his proudest asset, his grandchildren; Jayden, Jessica, Ethan, Ennis, Kaleb, Anthony, Olivia Warwick, Noah Larson and Gabe Selstrom. Also his little companion ZaZa, his rat terrier.

Good-bye Sweetheart, until we meet again.
