Badgers sending 20 to state meet
Badger boys track take second in districts.
Another Badger track record fell at the district meet at Timberlake High SchoolMay 15 as Jacob Callister won the 400 meter run in 50.7 seconds, shaving a tenth of a second off the old record set by Matt Behrens in 2003.
He is seeded first as 20 Badgers travel to Bronco Stadium in Boise Friday for the state track and field championships.
The Badger boys took second in districts, the girls third.
In addition to Callister, Colton Watt, Micah Krmpotich, David Morton, Blake Skjeveland, Zack Hammond, Reid Bennett, Payton Newell, Taylor Tompke and Jesse Gondek will travel to Boise.
Traveling for the girls team will be Courtney Tucker, the district champ in the 100 and 400 meter runs, Erin Hiatt, Olivia Langs, Jessica Merz, Natasha Finnigan, Mikki Erickson, Amy Andrews and Lizzy Racer.
