Boundary County Library Board Election
Wendy McClintock is running for the Boundary County Library Board of Trustees for Zone 2, encompassing the Moyie area.
Wendy graduated from Whittier College in California with a bachelor in nutrition. She completed a dietetic internship at Alameda County Hospitals in Oakland, Calif. At that time, she also pursued work toward a masters in nutrition from the University of California at Berkley. Since then, she has served in a variety of positions in hospitals, long-tern care facilities and health related social service agencies as a registered dietitian.
Before moving to Bonners Ferry, Wendy was director of nutrition services at Baylor Medical Center in the Dallas Fort Worth are in Tex. She also taught food supervisor classes for a local junior college in Fort Worth and served as a preceptor for students working toward their advanced degrees from Texas Women’s University and Texas Christian University.
Subsequent to arriving in Bonners Ferry in 1992, Wendy continued to work as a registered dietitian in both acute hospitals and long-term care facilities. She also taught classes at NIC for food supervisors working in health care facilities and school lunch programs.
Within her community, Wendy has served as a board member for Habitat for Humanity, was president of her local home owner’s association, and is currently a member o the hospital auxiliary and the county art association.
As a member of the library board, Wendy’s goal is to provide assistance to the library’s director for future planning, ensuring the library continues to be a critical focus in our community, not only today bit for years to come.
