A rebranding is under way at the Chevron station on the South Hill. The new brand taking Cheveron’s place is Liberty.

“Changing over to Liberty will enable us to carry diesel which is something we could not do before,” said Owner David Young.

That isn’t the only thing that the change in brands will do. Young has also agreed to help the Badgers Booster club donating 5 percent of the gas profits to the organization to help Bonners Ferry High School athletics and academics.

The Badger Boosters helps the school groups with funding of projects the school does not have money for. They review the project and determine whether it is a good cause and if so theyhelp them out.

Young said part of the reason he and his wife moved to Bonners Ferry was becasue it is sa small community that they could get more involved with.

President of the Badger Boosters Pam Moe said she is very excited and thinks it is wonderful that Young is willing to make this donation.
