Albeni Pipes and Drums plan 9-11 event

  Albeni Falls Pipes and Drums, in conjunction with local Fire Departments and Law Enforcement Agencies, will be hosting the annual 9/11 Ceremony at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday Sept. 11, at Sandpoint City Beach.

In remembrance of those who died that tragic day in 2001, we in North Idaho will honor them and never forget.

David Ward, retired from U.S. Border Patrol, will be guest speaker along with Pastor Stan Norman, whom will be giving the invocation.  Honor Guards from the US Coast Guard Auxiliary will also be there to post our flags. Albeni Falls Pipe and Drums will pay homage to those who died that terrible day by playing “Drummers Lost”, “Going Home” and “Amazing Grace”.

  “There were over three thousand people killed on Sept. 11, 2001. We ask our community to please take part and honor these people”, said Coast Guard Public Officer Ed Gould.
