The Boundary County Sheriff’s Office has recently joined up with the “A Child is Missing” program.

This program is dedicated to assisting law enforcement in the early search and safe recovery of children, the elderly or any individual with special needs.

This program is free to law enforcement and will contact all residents and businesses within the designated areas of the missing person.

The database currently used by “A Child is Missing” is provided by land line phone companies and does not include unlisted cell phone numbers.

For more information or to register home phone number, cell phone number and or e-mail addresses, go to www.achildismissing.org or http://www.boundarycountyid.org/sheriff/index.htm and follow the links for signing up.

No one but ACIM has access to the phone numbers in their database.

They are confident this program will greatly assist local law enforcement in locating missing persons once the program is activated.

For questions, call Boundary County Sheriff’s Office at 267-3151.
