Volleyball team wins three against Libby

The Bonners Ferry High School Lady Badgers varsity volleyball team on Friday won in three games against Libby at home, with scores of 25-13, 25-16 twice.

Olivia Langs had  five ace serves and five digs, Miranda Stippich had six kills and Markayle Acord had one block. Mattea Bertling had 5 ace serves and Ivy Dirks gave 14 assists.

“Great play by the girls,” said Coach Janis Tucker.  “We gave tough serves with 15 ace serves as a team.”

The Lady Badgers varsity plays at 7:30 p.m., Thursday Sept. 9,  at St. Maries.

The junior varsity and C volleyball teams also played Libby at home Friday.  The junior varsity won all three of their games.  The C team lost their first two games and won the last one. Scores were not available for these games.

The junior varsity will play at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 9, at St. Maries with the varsity game to follow. 

The C team plays Timberlake at 6 p.m. at home on Tuesday, Sept. 14.
